We will introduce text sets to support a variety of themes such as: women, African American figures, Hispanic American figures, historical events, different socioeconomic backgrounds, and more. We will discuss how to utilize these books during interactive read alouds and how to facilitate conversations surrounding sensitive subjects such as race, gender, and socioeconomic status.
