This session will be an overview of the writing workshop within a balanced literacy classroom. We will cover the purpose, structure/time frame, and essential characteristics of writing workshop in grades kindergarten through fifth grade. Ideas and strategies to set up, organize, and get your writing workshop up and running will be discussed. Plenty of time will be given for questions/answers and discussion.
